Online business opportunities are everywhere

When you first enter the world of making money online you will encounter thousands of different opportunities to make money online. With so many opportunities available it can be difficult to decide which strategy to pursue. One of the most popular methods to make money online is affiliate marketing. In this 6 part article series I am going to discuss affiliate marketing in depth and go into some strategies that you can employ to make your affiliate marketing business successful.

Affiliate Marketing has quickly become a very popular method of making money online, in part because the barrier to entry is very low. You can start your own business marketing products for others and get paid a commission for every sale that you produce through your marketing efforts. The commissions vary for each product but they are normally very generous usually between twenty to forty dollars. Once you register as an affiliate for a product you are provided with a unique affiliate link. Then as an affiliate marketer it is your job to drive traffic to your link and you are paid a commission each time a product is sold through your link. There really are not any qualifications to be an affiliate marketer you don’t need to be experienced and you don’t even need a website to sign up. It all sounds very easy, which makes it appealing to many people. It also creates a large hungry market of people that have a common interest and are willing to pay for information about how to be successful. Remember this because it is a key strategy to your success. Another factor that makes affiliate marketing so attractive is that through the use of the internet it is possible to show your product to millions of people across the globe instantly. There is no selling no cold calling no door knocking all you have to do is show your product to the people that are interested in it. Third you don’t have to have a product. It could potentially take years and tens of thousands of dollars to produce a product or service to sell online. Publishers spend thousands on research technical issues advertising all before they ever know if their product will sell or not. Then they must deal with orders, shipping delivering the product refunds, complaints and normally they receive a smaller cut than the affiliate. All of this adds up to a win-win situation the publisher sells many products and saves on advertising and marketing. The marketer saves on everything else.

So why isn’t everybody making money online? Well the truth is that it is not as easy as it may seem at first glance. The only person that makes serious money off of a single product is the producer of the product. Affiliates can make a nice bit of money promoting products but the payout is nowhere near what the creators are making. And that’s only fair since the publisher is taking all of the risk involved in creating a great product to sell. So for an affiliate to earn a living they must be constantly promoting and adapting with several offers to keep the cash flowing in. Secondly the first impression of fast and easy profits is entirely misleading. In order to be a successful affiliate marketer you must invest in education and tools of the trade just like in any other business offline or online. Affiliate Marketing is not exempt from the basic principles of business management. Finding quality products to promote can also be a daunting task. There are many products that are garbage and you don’t want to ruin your reputation promoting garbage and alienating your valuable customers.

Affiliate Marketing can be very rewarding and profitable if done correctly with the right frame of mind. It sure does beat punching someone else’s time clock. The bottom line is that in order to be successful you need to follow a tested and proven system just like with any business. Have patience work hard and you will make money. Please look out for the second part of this article series I will go in depth into some strategies that you can use in your business that will help increase your profits in a step by step practical guide. Good Luck

In desperate need of assistance in trying to understand how to become part of an affiliate marketing company?
I really want to start making money online but I am still unsure of how to become part of an affiliate marketing company. The one thing that I have been looking into is the type of thing where you sponsor a link for a website and then if that website creates income because of your link, then you receive a percentage of that revenue. PLEASE! If you know anything about this concept/process then please let me know!

Hi Ian,
Okay, here’s how to do it. Oh, by the way, I am not promoting any affiliate sites to my benefit, just helping you out.

First: Decide on the things you like. (sports, art, gardening etc.)

Second: Build a website about what you like such as my site:
epagesinfo.com it is about gardening and landscaping for beginners.

Third: Join commission junction, or just type affiliate programs into yahoo search and go from there.

Fourth: Once accepted, you can put their links on your site. Please keep the links related to your site.

Fifth: Use Yahoo’s ads on your site or any major ads that will pay you when your visitors click them.

If you have any questions my contact info is in the resource box below.

Good Luck!

the seller, like Ford, earns 15,000 from the sale,
if he gets it off your link, you earn 150.00

per 10,000,000 hits, one gets a car sale

by the time you are old enough to retire, you might reach
that many hits.

affiliate marketing is great for the seller and a pure waste for
the affiliate web sites.

do not bother with that method UNLESS it is your
invented products you are seeking to sell.
